Hon Priti Patel MP<\/strong> and <strong>Lord Gadhia, <\/strong>Chairing the roundtable on Conservative perspectives<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tom Cargill<\/strong>, Executive Director, British Foreign Policy Group<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manoj Ladwa<\/strong>, India Inc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Discussion centred <strong>Foreign and Strategic Affairs<\/strong>, and the need for the UK to prioritise and develop a strategy for its relationship with India post-Brexit; <strong>Home Affairs<\/strong>, and why each nation should seek to raise national awareness of the importance of the UK-India partnership and the benefits it brings; and <strong>International Trade\u00a0<\/strong>as it relates to the UK and India, particularly as the UK re-calibrates its place in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Both roundtables were part of &#8216;India Day&#8217;, which marked the launch of UK-India Week (24th-28th June 2019), a day of broad discussion and valuable debate tackling issues vital to the future of the global partnership.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairs and attendees enjoyed a lively and engaging discussion under Chatham House rule.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; use_row_as_full_screen_section=&#8221;no&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; angled_section=&#8221;no&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; background_image_as_pattern=&#8221;without_pattern&#8221;][vc_column][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; use_row_as_full_screen_section=&#8221;no&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; angled_section=&#8221;no&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; background_image_as_pattern=&#8221;without_pattern&#8221;][vc_column el_class=&#8221;bfpgview&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The views expressed in this article are those of the author and do not reflect the views of the BFPG.
